In 1714, my 5x Great Grandmother Alice Serjeantson was bpt at Kirkby Malham the day after she was born, suggesting she may have been a sickly baby In 1804, my 3x Great Grandparents John Wainwright and Mary Tate married at Tankersly, Yorkshire. John was aged 42 and Mary 21. They had 3 children In 1820, my 4xGreat Grandmother Elizabeth Slumbers died in Leeds age 67. She was the daughter of John Slumbers & Mary Baron and was married to John Beverley, with whom she had 3 children In 1830, my 3nd cousin 4xremoved Julia Wheaton died at Woodbury Devon aged 19. She was the daughter of Susanna Wheaton In 1903, my Great Great Grandmother Mary Ann Clark died at Weedon Bec, Northants age 72 of Paralysis Hemiplegia. She was the daughter of William Clark & Judith Maria Levey and was married to Noah Watson with whom she had 7 children In 1665, my 7xGreat Grandfather William Serjeantson of Hanlith was bpt at Kirkby Malham N Yorks. He was the son of Robert Serjeantson and Alice Lawson.
In 1714, my 5x Great Grandmother Alice Serjeantson was born at Hanlith, N Yorks. She was the second child of Robert Serjeantson and his first wife Mary Smith. She married twice, firstly to Thomas Archdale with whom she had two children and then to Rev Thomas Trant with whom she had eight children. In 1747, my 5xGreat Aunt Mary Trant was buried at Hemsworth Yorks. She was the eldest daughter of Rev Thomas Trant & Alice Serjeantson and was probably only a few months old, having been bpt in September on the same days as brother William. In 1755, my 5xGreat Uncle Samuel Fuller was bpt at Diss, Norfolk. He was the 9th of 12 children of Samuel Fuller & Bridget Chapman.
In 1812, my 4xGreat Uncle Thomas Adam Watson married Mary Moore in Foleshill, Warwickshire. He was the third son of Thomas Watson & Mary Andrews. The couple did not have any children. In 1786, my 1st cousin 6 times removed, Edmund Trant married Mary Elizabeth Holland at Toft, Cambridgeshire.
In 1838, my 3x Great Grandmother Mary Tate married her second husband John Goldthorp at Silkstone, Yorkshire. Her first husband, John Wainwright had died 2 years earlier. In 1826, my 3xGreat Aunt Ann Wainwright married Edwin "Ted" Fletcher at the Parish Church Silkstone, Yorkshire. She was the only daughter of John Wainwright & Mary Tate. The couple did not have any children.
In 1886, my 2nd cousin 3 times removed, Robert Baron Beverley married Annie Louisa Wall at St James' Church Altham Lnacs. He was the son of John Beverley & Isabella Turner. In 1896, my Great Great Grandmother Penelope Ann Wheaton died at Shepton Mallet, She was 77 yrs old and died of Bronchitis Syncope. She was the widow of Edwyn Whitney with whom she had 7 children. In 1683, my 7xGreat Uncle Robert Sergeantson was bpt at Kirkby Malham. He was the first child of William Sergeantson Of Hanlith and Frances Wade and sadly died at less than a year old.
In 1762, my 5xGreat Aunts Annamaria and Anne Carter were bpt at Aylesbeare Devon. They were the twin daughters of John Carter & Caroline Locke In 1949, my husband Peter Sidney Helps was born. In 1915, my Great Great Aunt Minnie Whiting Watson was buried at Norwood Cemetery London. She was married to Henry Thomas Armitt and had 3 children. In 1922, my father Trevor Douglas Wainwright was bpt at St Paul's Parish Church, Balsall Heath Birmingham. He was the eldest son of Harold Wainwright and Alice Dorothy Watson Whitney. In 1982, my son David Anthony Helps was born. Happy Birthday, son :) In 1879, my Great Great Uncle Thomas William Whitney married Fanny Parker at the Parish Church, Shepton Mallet. He was the second son of Edwin Whitney and Penelope Ann Wheaton. Thomas & Fanny had one daughter, Fanny Louise Whitney. In 1921, my first cousin once removed, Henry Esmond W Wainwright was born. He was known as "Bang" in the family, possibly as a consequence of being born on Armistice Day. He was the youngest child of Edward William Wainwright & Lillian Cooper. |
